Riga Summer Tango Marathon | July 16-20, 2026

Welcome to our summer edition of the Riga Tango Marathon by El Gordo!

Registration starts on January 21 at 2 PM Riga time.

Summer is hot in July, but not so much in Riga! Concentrate on dancing, not on surviving the heat wave.

We will have for you:

• more than 40 hours (6 milongas, preparty, and afterparty) of dancing from July 16 to 20, 2026,

• friendly dancing and living environment,

• role-balanced event,

• 250 participants,

• over 400 sq. m. hall with wooden dance floor cover and quality sound,

• useful and nice souvenirs,

• snacks, fruits, tea, and water during all milongas,

• marathon pass = 140 EUR,

• living, dancing, and eating at the same venue - 4* Bellevue Park Hotel Riga

• free sauna from Friday to Sunday (if you stay at the Bellevue Park Hotel Riga).

BEFORE YOU FILL IN THE REGISTRATION, please note:

• We kindly ask you to read TERMS AND CONDITIONS before you fill in the registration form. Here, you can also read about the principal aspects and criteria for participation.

• Registration is possible only by registering on our web page. Clicking “I am going” on Facebook will not be considered as registration.

• We kindly ask you - do not book flights before you receive the final confirmation of participation.

• At the marathon, we emphasize the traditional social tango etiquette, dance by following the ronda flow, invitations by mirada and cabeceo, and clear floor during cortinas.

• This marathon is an event without separate seating for men and women.

• Our tango community understands and values the ‘consent culture’. This means that we act and dance respecting each other’s boundaries.

• The pre-party and after-party will be open for both marathon participants and other dancers. Pre-party and after-party are not included in the full-pass.

• As usual, we recommend you stay in the Bellevue Park Hotel Riga****; here you can enjoy the party in full – with the opportunity to live and dance at the same venue.
